Full Day Course Details
The above courses are designed to Introduce and reinforce the core skills required to maximise your enjoyment and safety of Mountain Bike Riding and or Racing.
They are suitable for both novices wishing to learn new skills as well as those intermediate and advanced riders looking to build on their existing skill base. These group courses are for a maximum of 15 riders and will be hosted by a minumum two accredited, Level 1 MTB and Cycle Skills Coaches. Greg and Kylie will be your coaches for the day. These courses are suitable for participants from the age of 14. However any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration.
Our 5 Point MTB ethos is:
1 - Bike and Rider Set Up
2 - Body Position
3 - Gear and Line Selection
4 - Braking
5 - Coordination and Timing
During the course we will focus on all the above elements with specific and targeted drills.
Course Duration: 8hrs approx
Start Time: 7.30am
Finish Time: 3.30pm
Venue: Underwood Park Top Field (follow the buitmen to the very end, it's the very back field)

1 Hour Sampler Skills Clinics @ $10 each
These 1 Hour sessions will cover 4 of the most important skills required for Mountain Bike riding. Each session will focus on one and at the end of the four weeks there will be the opportunity for you to put them into practice in our very own 5 Star Mountain Cross race. As the name suggests these Sampler Clinics are designed to give you the basics, if you would like to cover them in more depth and learn more advanced skills there is the opportunity of our Full Day Courses or Private Coaching. These 1 Hour Sampler Skills Clinics are only available to Brisbane South Mountain Bike Club members and will start from 9am. Join up at www.bsmc.asn.au
